Prines is 7 km away from Rethymno centre, only 5 km away from the sea and 2 km away from the village Atsipopoulo, a well known village which has grown up fast in last 10 years and now is actually a small town and a suburb of Rethymno town. 

There is nothing that you cannot find in Atsipopoulo nowadays, as it has all kinds of shops, supermarkets, bakeries, many restaurants and services.

Staying in Prines village you have the advantage of staying in a country side and be only a few  minutes away from big markets, shops and the beach! The village itself is beautiful with many vegetations and olive tree forests. It is ideal for those who love nature, peace and quiet it can offer.

In Rethymno you may also visit the magnificent old town, the Venetian harbour,  the museum and the venetian castle “Fortezza” which is the trademark of the city.
